
Arantxa Tapia
Minister of Economic Development and Infrastructures of the Basque Government
Arantxa Tapia has been Minister of Economic Development and Infrastructures of the Basque Government since December 2012. Her mission as Minister is to lead the Department of Economic Development and Infrastructures in which Industry, Innovation, Agriculture, Fishing come together, areas that have a direct impact on the productive economy of the Basque Country. Arantxa Tapia is an Industrial Engineer, specialized in Electricity and Doctor Cum Laude in the University of Navarra.
Among her professional activities, she has been Professor at the University of Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works of the Basque Government, Member of the Provincial Council of Mobility and Territorial Planning of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works of the Basque Government, and President of the Innovation Commission of the General Assemblies of Gipuzkoa.
